Coming off what can be described as a disappointing year at Minor Midget and a positive year at bantam, the Huron-Perth Lakers are one of the swing teams in the Alliance this season.
The 2018/19 started pretty strong for the Lakers at Minor Midget. The team was flying on all cylinders and racking up the wins. They looked like a legitimate contending team for the first half of the year. The second half was a struggle as the offense aside from Camden Daigle and Cole Melady dried up and their season came down to the final day. It was out of their hands though as an Elgin win over Lambton knocked them out of playdown contention.

Following year that saw the Lakers franchise surprise many with their play, a similar fate could be in store for the 2003 born group.
At minor midget last season, Huron-Perth was one of the biggest surprises on the loop. The Lakers had a mix of size and speed but wasn’t chalked full of high-end talent. Their work ethic though was second to none and under the tutelage of Mike Carter, the Lakers were one of the top teams in the Alliance in the first half.
