2014/15 Minor Midget Record – 8-20-5 (8th overall)

Final Result – Lost in 3 to London in Quarter-Finals

2014/15 Major Bantam Record – 10-19-3 (10th overall)

Final Result – Lost in 6 to Sun County in Preliminary Round

Following a season full of ups and downs, the Lambton Jr. Sting are hoping that an improvement on defence is the key to taking the next step up the standings.

In the 2014/15 season, only two teams allowed more goals than the 156 that the Sting allowed. The defense is trending to get better when you look at the Bantam squad from last season. Goaltender Jakob Knowles is back between the pipes in an attempt to repeat some of the performances that he had last year as a Bantam player.

The offense has a couple of players who will lead the way already with some minor midget experience. Forward Joey Ferrera will lead the way up front. He was called up for only two games last season but he capitalized on those two games tallying two goals including one on the powerplay. Cameron Rombouts is another forward who has previous minor midget experience, also playing in two games last season.

All together, 12 players will return to the Sting squad with hopes that they will be able to put a dent in many of the prognosticators picks. They will open the season up later this week at the Toronto Titans Tournament. Their regular season opener is September 18 at home against the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
