2014/15 Minor Midget Record – 6-22-5 (9th overall)

Final Result – Did not qualify for Minor Midget Playdowns

2014/15 Major Bantam Record – 10-16-5 (8th overall)

Final Result – Lost in 3 to Waterloo in Preliminary Round

After a couple of promising seasons, the Brantford 99ers are hoping 2015 will be the beginning of deep competitive hockey for the program.

When talking about the top teams in the Alliance, Brantford is often never in the conversation but over the past couple of seasons, strides have been made to change that fact. No sign was more promising then last seasons edition of the Toronto Titans early bird tournament. Brantford was one of nine Alliance teams to compete in the 2014/15 tournament and while they did not advance past the round robin, they did finish with the same record as powerhouses Waterloo and London.

In terms of the 2015/16 squad, the 99ers will have seven returning players from their Major Bantam team of last season. The big question mark going into the season will be between the pipes. Both Myles Maloney and Keaghan Brett, who helped Brantford to stay in many close games, are not back this season.

The 99ers will rely on Single-A callup Richie Little and newcomer Dan Murphy to be solid in goal and give the team a shot at playoff hockey come January.

Brantford will get their season started with a pair of games at home against the Windsor Jr. Spitfires.
